Welcome everyone to another one of my game reviews, this time I will be reviewing a game that I have heard no bad comments about and a game I originally wasn't planning on buying but after flipping on that decision I had been waiting anxiously for Christmas to come so I could finally get Call Of Duty 4 into my hands and it was worth every single day of waiting. Now for those who read my reviews you will know I judge the game on stuff like sound, graphics and so forth but honestly in my opinion which is all I have I had more fun playing this game then any other game I can think of I tried to think of a game I had played that I had more fun then this one and it was just impossible. I remembered allot of great games over the years and even out of my other 360 games and I couldn't come up with a single one. So I may judge this game by different measures such as sound and design but when it comes down to it this game was the most fun any game has ever given me in my time of playing it and when it comes down to it graphics or not that is what you want a game to do.

Now usually when I finish a game I start a new game the week after and hardly ever go through a game twice, but COD4 had on its hook and I had to play it again this is only the second 360 to do this to me along with Mass Effect. Moving on now to the actual campaign mode of the game, this was very strong although one may complain about the little depth to the story apart from the fact it was your everyday 24 like terrorist story, terrorist leader gets bomb, you need to stop him blah blah blah. But this game has some unsuspecting moments that even shocked me, right after the first mission you are driven through the terrorist country thinking this is actually you that gets tied to a pole and shot point blank in the face but it turns out it was another individual, I was shocked because it had me in the illusion that this was my character in this spot which I give kudos to fooling me and giving you great insight to just how dangerous these terrorists can be. Another very shocking moment was the fact that a nuclear bomb actually did go off, now on a show like 24 they always are trying to save the world from people like this and when a nuclear bomb actually did go off on US soil on the show you were jaw dropped because you never expect them to actually allow it to go off. This is what COD 4 did for me when it went off, not only was the entire effects of the blast spectacular but the aftermath was done perfectly and when you see it you will know what I mean, the sights and the effects were magnificent.

Continuing on with the story I found that they did fill you in enough with back story including a 15 years ago flashback mission, which was my favourite mission in the entire game since you were greatly outnumbered and trying to move around undetected it was just great atmosphere. But with games like this the problem is that the ending may not live up to the rest of the game, this however does not happen in COD 4 the ending was brilliant. The shock that the taker near you actually blew and you had the feeling that there was no way you could win when the terrorists kill one of your squad mates with no hesitation until your commander slides you a gun...Three headshots later you finish the game and that was a magnificent ending to a game that live dup to all the expectations I had and I'm so glad I decided to get this game. Although I don't have Live so I can't talk about my experience there the campaign itself was great enough for those like me that don't have Live to still want to get this game, you won't be disappointed. Now onto the actual presentation of the game now the graphics in this baby are the best I have ever seen, Assassins Creed and Gears Of War had great graphics but this game is unbelievable from the first mission when the boat you infiltrate is getting hammered by waves and rain it really makes you sit back and just enjoy what is front of you...until the bullets start flying from every direction that not only sound real but the guns all look so realistic. The small loading screens/Cut scenes in between missions are brilliant and something I really enjoyed since you get information about the upcoming and past mission while getting some nice visuals to view while doing it, it really lets you get into the mind of the game and just where you are and who you are playing as.

The bullets, grenades, explosions, helicopters, nuclear bomb all sound as authentic as you can get and I definitely can't say for sure if that is what they sound like since I haven't been in war but these sounded spot on from TV shows and movies I have watched and it made you feel as if you were right there fighting for your life. The score in the game is top class aswell with all the musical pieces fitting in perfectly and the rap about COD 4 during the credits was another great aspect that was added in for the gamers pleasure. As for the actual game play, what can I say I didn't find any major problems with it myself apart from the occasional failed jumps, the rest was solid to fantastic and really didn't have any glitches or loading bugs I could find at all, all the guns worked great and felt like what a game should feel like when you're in combat which is why this was so fun to play. Although as I said I can't say about the online play but from what I have heard this is the next step in online play better then anything before it, but even without the online play this game is top notch and had me wanting more after one play through of the Campaign Mode and you will aswell.

Overall this was one of the best gaming experiences I have had, not only a fun and exciting game to play but also a game with nearly zero glitches is hard to come by these days and Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare does it better then most I have ever seen. If you are a fan of shooters get these game, if you are fan of action games get this game, hell if you're a fan of gaming and have a 360 or any other console that this game is available on get this game it is that damn good.

I just finished this one yesterday. Best war game I've ever played. It does leave you begging for more at the end.
